Zane Grey Theater: Gunslinger Johnny Ambler accepts a contract from Bert, the saloon owner, to kill the Marshall of Benson, Jess Brackett because he has outlawed gambling and Bert is losing money. Ambler, however, has an infected finger, his trigger finger, and the town's doctor Ellen Kimberley amputates because gangrene has set in. Collins, another gunslinger, arrives in town to kill Ambler because of the killing of his brother by Ambler in what he believes was not a fair fight. An exciting and unexpected conclusion plays out.
